Santa Specials Dates 2011

10th,11th,17th,18th,23rd & 24th December 2011.

There will be two trains each day one at 11.00 and one at 14.00.

Ticket prices £12 Adult; £10 Children; £5 Infants (under 12 months)
Ticket prices include a train ride from Okehampton to North Tawton and return, during which mulled wine and mince pies will be served or an alternative hot drink and soft drinks for the children. (Journey time on the train approximately 1 hour)

On return to Okehampton station, Santa will be in his grotto on platform 2 to see the children and give them a present.

Times of trains from Okehampton are 1000 hrs to Meldon and return; 1100 hrs to Bow and return; 1240 hrs to Meldon and return; 1400 hrs to Bow and return; 1540 hrs to Meldon and return.

Railway Walks

To make your visit to the Dartmoor Railway more enjoyable a series of leaflets containing scenic walks have been created. The walks start and finish at our stations at Sampford Courtenay and Meldon Quarry and the leaflets describe the route you need to take, what to look out for and an indication of the approximate duration of each walk.

The Railway Walk leaflets are available free of charge when you purchase a Dartmoor Railway train ticket.
